LaNIA SPROLES
MILWAUKEE, WI
LaNia Sproles, born and raised on the Northside of Milwaukee Wi, is the representation of blackness, vulnerability and strength. A experimental printmaker /2D Creative who uses her creations and inner disconnect as a mirror for others to relate and daringly look behind. Every cut, paste and collage of pencil work is a representation of a spontaneous emotion, a creative thought with nothing preordained or taken for granted. While so many attempt to escape their realities, LaNia creates to acknowledge those issues others attempt to ignore. Being a circular, whimsical and inconstant creative is to make your life apart of your creation, and to make your creation a way of life and that's why LaNia is a Black Yoke Collab Creative. By using the human complexities of being a Queer Black Woman to highlight and expand the constant that is blackness and ever changing, LaNia is Defining blackness as not only a strong and permanent color, but an open ended state of mind inspiring change and the new.

Yessica Jimenez
Milwaukee, WI
Yessica, creatively known as Xeroine is a visual creative born and raised in Milwaukee. Wi. With a bachelors in art,She uses her Illustrations as a form of salvation, a means to inspire culturally, socially, and politically. By encompassing the life of a creative, who is living to create ,Xeroine is reminding us all of the ongoing creative impact interwoven in our daily hustle and bustle. “creatives are one of the most underestimated minds, that in true revelation make the world go round”. Being a creative has allowed Xeroine and those she reaches through her work, to overcome a world miseducated on the power of self hate and its ability to encourage social dissension. She is a Black Yoke Collab Creative because through her work she is unafraid of articulating the influence of black culture and its potential to encourage creatives, and those around them, to find solace with their own culture and self.
